Yet, even with this nod to sustainability, some of the items listed are so expensive that they might be priced out of reach for most people. For example, Kylie Jenner is currently attempting to sell a beige Hermès Birkin bag for $65,000. While the exclusivity of the Birkin might justify the price for some buyers, it’s worth noting that the bag has been on the site for quite some time, likely due to its steep cost. After all, the median annual salary in the U.S. is around $59,384, which makes such a luxury item unattainable for the average person.
